i see them
they feel
their way
back ‘home’
carrying things
i will not understand
moving in jagged lines
being exactly where they ought to
i didn’t feel
when one walked onto my palm
am i
on the hand of another being
blind
feeling my way through time
how can I tell this ant
do you know what i call you?
i’ve named you
yet your essence unknown
do you know me?
have you memorized the creases of my skin?
i open a window in my head
the ant crawls in
i don’t know if it knows
i don’t know if i know
knowing isn’t our language
existing is enough

what comes to your mind when you think of ants?
—
Intriguing and very visceral. Nicely done.
Thank you so much 🙂
When I think of ants I think of the insignificance of my being by comparison to existence and the universe.
I think, this ant lives in such a compact space, but that space is as vast to them as California is to me, and I don’t travel as much as they do.
I think that humanity isn’t necessarily that great if ants can feed their entire colony and not destroy themselves with politics.
I think I never expected Woody Allen and Sylvester Stallone would be in the same movie together… And yet, ANTZ exists.
Wow, you’ve given me a great perspective, world is full of wonders, isn’t it!
hi
I’m doing mental health awareness re-blogs, can you suggest me a post by you that you would want me to share??
Hi! Thanks so much for considering my blog, I’d love to, I have linked some posts here, you can pick which ever you think suits best. I also have some journaling promos that might help. I am on the hosted WordPress so you might not be able to reblog, but you can copy-paste and link to the post, that’ll be alright with me. Thanks for doing this!
