“You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche

the sun is peeking behind wisps of a blanc veil
laced in the blue, woven in the morning tapestry
a bird song floats among the pine needles
among pearls of dew welcome sun rays
a gentle breeze announces the day
brings the smell of spring to kiss my face
leaves softly sway to the song and the breeze
they know it isn’t all as it seems
crows fly above, wings stretched
i sit in myself, no other place to be
when i was a little girl,
there was a shop full of buttons
stood behind the glass counter
an old man weathered many seasons
walls of shelves with neat boxes, housed colourful round wheels
some had two eyes, some three
we went in, distressed, missing a button
he showed us patiently a rainbow of possibilities
we always left with a few tokens
looking small and insignificant at the bottom of a plastic bag
i wonder, if he still had his shop
maybe he can reassure me two sides of the world can meet again
i extend my hand, unable to hold the sunlight
but it’s alright, rain is coming tonight

how’s your mind mid chaos?
