Sitting on millions of grains of sand
I watch the sun hide behind the silhouette of the mountains
Staining the sky orange
The crimson sky slips into a cold purple
As the darkness leaks into the night
Two hours before the middle of the night
Splits the days
A bang rumbles through the beach waves
And gives birth to explosion of lights
Expanding in the black canvas
Coming to life in the air
And dying at the same time
Fading in space
But not in time
Their ghosts
Etched in light particles
Travel infinitely
It is the Celebration of Lights
βLightβ
In its absence
We cease to be brave
Cling onto the shimmering stars
And wait for the light to bring life
To me, celebration of lights
Celebrates life
BOOM
Life bursts out of a thin line
Grows and glows
Spreads bright and proud
Yet only reaches a speck of the sky
TSSSS
It vanishes
So sudden
But gracefully
BAM
Another life shines
Over the smokes of a dead fire
Life comes and goes
But the light remains

Loved your writing, love fireworks but as I get older I am scared of them (the fireworks) for my kids. On the other hand, my kids also like your writing.
Thank you, I wouldn’t try firing fireworks myself, but when it’s the fruit of other people’s efforts, it’s pretty to watch!
