coffee

β€œI’d rather take coffee than compliments just now.”
― Louisa May Alcott, Little Women

the enticing aroma

dances

and glides

in the stagnant air

kissing it

with ferocious deliciousness

the dull hour

springs into

a sudden excitement

every molecule

coated in a luscious whiff

hovering to be snatched

by thirsty noses

the finite mixture of

dark bitterness

and

joyful anticipation

slides down my spine

into my lungs

to my diaphragm

to my belly

and back to my heart

it flutters

with sweet exhilaration

then it pounds

fewer beats

and i sip the coffee

how do you feel about coffee?
