i broke my blog

“Even the most

― Veronika Jensen

in remorseful attempts to save a buck or two, i changed my domain host. a faulty migration later, i broke my blog.

i never knew how much i loved this blog and this community until poof it was gone.

i shed tears and my heart was screaming, please just come back!

pardon the drama, but i’ve experienced a week of emotional torture, chasing my words on the web. at the same time, it was humbling. now i appreciate you more than ever, and i appreciate this corner of the web that is created by me( and techy codes that i don’t quite understand).

many many bucks spent on technical support later, i am back up.

my advice to you; if you are planning a website migration, domain host change, or anything to do with your dear dear blog, back up everything and get an expert to do it. the emotional wounds are not worth it.

thanks for stopping here, i’m happy to be resurrected in the sphere of wordpress!

  4. Sort of. I had a template I paid for and was tired of the look and comment structure. So, I attempted to change it myself and ended up with a disaster, losing all my comments. I decided it was an omen to archive those posts, call it a day, and begin fresh. 🙂

  15. Em,

I can’t relate and hope I never can. But I can state, unequivocally, that I would miss your sweet voice if you were gone. So please don’t go and cause this wayward, adrift, Southerner needless pain. You and your sweetness and light and understated but unquenchable optimism are one of the few things that keep me coming g back for periodic renewal. And really, I ache for the next time we collaborate on a beautiful piece of fiction!

    Love, love, LOVE,

    1. i hope that you never will have to either!thanks so much for the kind words, means the world. i am happy to back as well and treat my eyes with awesome reads like your writings!
